Gaiety and patriotic fervor marked the 73rd Independence Day celebrations at Christ Church School on Thursday, 15 August 2019, when to commemorate the sovereignty of our nation, the esteemed Principal, Mr. Furdinand Bunyan unfurled the ‘tiranga’ and all in unison sang the National Anthem.
The program was attended by students as well as many ex-students and parents, teachers and administrative staff of Christ Church School. The most notable part of the program was the inspiring address given by the Head-Boy and the Head-Girl which was applauded. The toppers of the three sections were awarded prizes for their good achievement in the Board Examinations.
The celebrations ended with the inspiring words of the Principal where he focused on safety for today’s youth. He cautioned the students to use social media wisely and not become slaves of social media.
