Good morning school
For today’s Scripture Union Assembly, the scripture portion will be read by Sherlin Devadoss ,
the inspirational reading will be done by Keith Bathena, the thought for the day and the prayer will be said by Davisraj.
The Scripture reading is taken from Matthew chapter 10 verses 29 to 31.
Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? Not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will.
But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
Do not fear, therefore: you are of more value than many sparrows.
This is the word of the Lord.
The inspirational reading :
The amazing bird peregrine falcons are valued for their beauty, swiftness, and power. These birds of prey were favorite hunting companions of emperors and nobles.
Sadly, the wide use of the pesticide DDT in the 1950s interfered with their reproductive cycle and placed them on the endangered species list.
Alan Tennant was interested in the recovery of this species. He attached transmitters to a select number of falcons to track their migration patterns. But when he and his pilot flew behind the birds, they repeatedly lost signal from the transmitters. Despite their advanced technology, they were not always able to track the birds they wanted to help.
But the God who cares for us never loses track of us. When we face difficult circumstances, fear may cause us to wonder if God is aware of our situation. But God’s presence gives us the assurance that he cares deeply and is in control. His tracking of our lives will never fail.
Thought for the day:
“God never loses track of our life. Have faith in God to lead you one day at a time. Take our savior’s word, “do not worry about your life, do not worry about tomorrow”
Let us pray :
O Lord, our creator and our Father, we come into your presence this morning to thank and praise you for the new day you have given us.
Lord, I commit the 10th and 12th standard children who are going to write their Board exam, into your mighty hands. Bless them with your heavenly wisdom. Bless all the activities of our school.
O Lord, we ask you to direct, to control and to guide us throughout this day. In Jesus’ most precious name I pray. Amen
Let us continue with the Lord’s prayer
Our Father …
Stand to attention for the school song
Thank you, have a blessed day!
