Evening Assembly – 05.07.2022

Class: Grade 7
Good afternoon school its Tuesday and you can smell the freshness of the week and enthusiasm in the atmosphere. I am Pehel Jain and I would like to welcome you all to this afternoon’s assembly

Let’s start today’s assembly by remembering God whose blessings boost our energy to lead us through.
Kindly open your diaries to page number 49 we will sing the hymn how great thou art.
(Hymn)

The scripture will be read by Ummeaiman Chitalwala, the story will be read out by Taikhum Bagasrawala, Rudraa Jadhav will lead us in prayer and Pehel Jain will read the National Pledge.

Today’s scripture is taken from “Psalms 90 verse 12 “
So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

(PAUSE) This is the Word of the Lord.
Kindly be seated and listen to today’s short story:
Once upon a time…
A man was very successful and had gathered a lot of wealth. Everybody respected him and he was a source of inspiration. When he was taking his last breaths, all the members of the family were around him.
One of the family members said,” Please give us some valuable lessons from your life“.

The dying man said, “I’ll give you a lesson but for that, I require some more time. I am running out of time, so please take all my wealth and buy some extra time for me.”

The person replied, “It is not possible to buy time even if we use all the resources of this world.”
The man said, “So, understand the value of time which cannot be bought at any value.” My friends, the clock is running. Every second is precious because you cannot have even an extra second if you want.

Moral: A second passed cannot be restored! Try to make as much out of the time that’s still left. Time is free of cost but it’s limited and cannot be accumulated. Hence, time is priceless.

Thought for Today:
Just imagine that your father gives you Rs. 86,400 every day in the morning and gives you the freedom to spend it on anything. But the bet is, that the amount will not be carried forward to the next day and will expire the same day.
In such a winning situation, you will probably plan to spend the amount on buying your most desired fashion accessories, study materials, hanging out with friends, and so on. Still, if you are left with some remaining amount that is going to expire soon but you were unable to utilize that. Then despite regret, you can’t do anything.
The same thing happens with our precious life where each day, we are fortunate with 24 hours, i.e. 86,400 seconds. It is a person’s choice to utilize it for the good or to waste it.

Kindly compose yourself for the prayer
Lord in Heaven, I submit my plans for the day to you. Guide me along the best
The path so that the works of my hand today are fruitful and glorifying to you. Amen

Let us all say the Lord’s Prayer.
Kindly stand at attention as the National Pledge is read out.

PLEDGE

India is my country.
All Indians are my brothers and sisters.
I love my country and I am proud of its rich and varied heritage.
