Good morning school.

The scripture reading will be done by Joe Israel
The story will be narrated by Alex Shrisunder
The thought for the day will be given by Rebecca Xalxo
The prayer will be recited by Rosh Swamy

Scripture Reading: The scripture reading is taken from Isaiah, chapter 49: verse15.
‘Can a mother forget her nursing child? Can she feel no love for the child she has borne?’

Story:
After a forest fire in Yellowstone National Park, forest rangers began their trek up a mountain to assess the inferno’s damage. One ranger found a bird literally petrified in ashes, perched on the ground at the base of a tree.
Somewhat sickened by the eerie sight, he knocked over the bird with a stick. When he gently struck it, three tiny chicks scurried from under their dead mother’s wings. The loving mother, keenly aware of impending disaster, had carried her offspring to the base of the tree and had gathered them under her wings, instinctively knowing that the toxic smoke would rise.
She could have flown to safety but refused to abandon her babies. When the blaze had arrived and the heat had scorched her small body, the mother had remained steadfast.

Reflection: A mother’s love for her child is selfless, pure, and unconditional.

Thought for the day: No love in this world is comparable to a mother’s love.
Let us pray.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, we thank you for the gift of another day. Your love for us is much more than a mother’s love for her children. It is because of your love for us that your son Jesus Christ sacrificed his life on the cross. Help us to reflect on our love for others. We pray for our staff, students, and their family members who are sick. Let your healing power touch them. In Jesus’s most precious name I pray. Amen.

Let us continue with the Lord’s Prayer.

Our Father who art in heaven, ……………… Amen.

Kindly stand to attention for the School song.

Have a blessed day.
