The scripture reading:
The Scripture reading is taken from the book of Isaiah, chapter 60, verses 1 to 3
Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.
For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and thick darkness the peoples;
But the Lord will arise upon you, and his glory will be seen upon you.
And nations shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.
This is the Word of the Lord.
The inspirational reading:
The power of tiger mentality
The easiest thing in the world is to give up or quit. The hardest thing is to rise and move on. And the moment you decide not to give up, you are no longer a cat, you become a tiger. A great roar rises from your heart – a roar to rise.
Tigers are one of the most magnificent, majestic creations of God. Tigers are amazing in achieving their goal.
When you happen to see a tiger hiding behind a bush, don’t make the mistake of thinking that the tiger is afraid of its prey, it is strongly focusing on its prey –when to attack and how to attack. When a lion finds prey, all of a sudden it attracts it without thinking of anything, but a tiger never goes merely to pounce on its prey. He will aim at it, he will focus on it and he will wait for the right time to attack. Yes. tigers strategically approach their prey. Tigers are blessed with the gift of patience. They wait and wait.
The life-changing lesson we learn from tigers is that we have to approach our goal strategically like a tiger. Have a proper goal. Keep your focus on your dream. Take time for it. Whatever opportunity is at hand, don’t rush or hurry. Use it well. Wait for the right time to take a move.
Tigers always hunt animals who are bigger than them, because a tiger’s mind is very sharp. It does not quench its thirst for victory until it gets what it wants. Even if it is a life or death situation for a tiger, it never backs down. Tiger is a warrior, a fighter. a survivor and always it is victorious. If you have a dream and you are worried about the obstacles that stand in your way, think like a tiger. Never think about how big your problem is, think about how big and powerful your God is. The Almighty God who is in you is greater than all your big problems.
Tigers hunt at night. They are solitary hunters. They aren’t scared of any other animal in their natural environment. Tigers hold the neck of their prey until it dies. There is a strategy in every hunting move that makes it an excellent hunter and it survives in a highly competitive jungle. They always take the hardest road when other animals run away from it. That is the attitude of a tiger. The darkest path in life is the hardest path. You have to rise from your darkness to achieve your goal in life. You need to come out of your comfort zone, and find your passion in what ignites you, your victory awaits you.
Thought for the day.
Tiger, specifically the Bengal Tiger is chosen as the national animal of India
The combination of grace, strength, agility, and enormous power has earned the tiger its pride of place as the national animal.
Everything that is good has got a barrier that will prevent you from achieving it.
Do have the blood of a fighter, the spirit of a warrior, and the patience of a tiger to be victorious in life.
Don’t give up. Arise from your darkness, you will definitely shine.
Let us pray :
