Scripture Reading
A reading from the first book of John, chapter 4 verses 16 – 19
And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he that dwells in love dwells in God, and God in him. Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear: because fear has torment. He that fears are not made perfect in love. We love him because he first loved us.
This is the word of the LORD.

GOD IS LOVE

IN LOVE WE WERE CREATED
IN LOVE WE ARE SUSTAINED
LOVE IS WHY GOD SENT HIS SON
TO BE PROPITIATION FOR OUR SINS
FOR WHILE WE WERE YET SINNERS
GOD DID DEMONSTRATE HIS LOVE
JESUS SHOWED US HOW TO LIVE
HE TAUGHT US HOW TO LOVE
HE IS IN THE FATHER
AND THE FATHER IS IN HIM
HE’S THE RADIANCE OF GOD’S GLORY
THE EXACT REPRESENTATION
OF HIS NATURE…WHICH IS LOVE
SO IF SOMEONE SAYS “I LOVE GOD”
AND YET HE HATES HIS BROTHER
HE LIES, FOR HE CANNOT LOVE GOD
WITHOUT LOVING HIS BROTHER
SO LET US LOVE OUR BROTHERS
FOR LOVE IS FROM GOD
AND EVERYONE WHO LOVES
IS BORN OF AND KNOWS OF GOD
WHILE HE WHO DOES NOT LOVE.

Thought for the day
God’s love is like an ocean. You can see its beginning, but not its end.

Kindly bow your heads, close your eyes and join your hands for prayer.
Let us pray
Dear GOD , we praise you and glorify you. Lord help us to grow to understand Your unconditional love. Lord may the reality of your feelings towards us, put our hearts ate ease and fill our soul with gladness. We make this prayer in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
