Inspirational reading: There was a farmer who sold a pound of butter to a baker. One day the baker decided to weigh the butter to see if he was getting the right amount, which he wasn’t. Angry about this, he took the farmer to court.
The judge asked the farmer if he was using any measure to weigh the butter. The farmer replied, “Honor, I am primitive. I don’t have a proper measure, but I do have a scale.”
The judge asked, “then how do you weigh the butter?”
The farmer replied;
“Your Honor, long before the baker started buying butter from me, I have been buying a pound loaf of bread from him. Every day when the baker brings the
bread, I put it on the scale and give him the same weight in butter. If anyone is to be blamed, it is the baker.”
The case was dismissed.

Thought for the day:
In life, you get what you give. Don’t try and cheat others.

Let us pray- O God, who resists the proud and gives grace to the humble; grant us the virtue of true humility, where by Your Only-begotten son who showed in Himself a pattern of Your faithfulness; grant that we may never by our pride provoke Your anger, but rather by our meekness, receive the riches of Your grace. This I pray in Your precious name, Amen.

Let us continue by saying the Lord’s Prayer together.

This day is to commemorate and bring recognition to hundreds of athletes, musicians, artists and others who did not let their disability stop them from going after their dreams.

Importance of cleanliness – Everyone in the classroom asked Sachin not to throw bits of paper everywhere and maintain cleanliness but Sachin never listened to anyone in the classroom. Everyone started complaining about Sachin for not maintaining cleanliness in the classroom to Miss Mary who was in charge of the class.

Miss Mary then decided to change their behavior of Sachin. She called Sachin and tried to explain to Sachin the importance of cleanliness. But it was of no use. So Miss Mary thought of another plan to teach Sachin the importance of cleanliness.

The next day, Miss Mary announced that she would give a star to everyone who spends 5 mins a day cleaning their surroundings. She announced that the place to clean can be anywhere. She also announced that a special gift will be given at the month’s end to the student who gets more stars. Every student got excited. Sachin’s friends started spending 5 mins a day cleaning their surroundings to get stars at the end of the day.

Sachin used to observe this every day. One day he decided to spend time cleaning his surroundings. He then started cleaning his surroundings and forgot about the time and cleaned everything like his bag, books, table, etc.

Within no time, everything was looking clean and tidy. Sachin felt much happy looking at the result. On that day, Miss Mary saw this and felt much happy. She called Sachin and asked everyone to clap for Sachin as he started to keep his surroundings clean and tidy.

Miss Mary gave a star to Sachin. Sachin felt very happy about taking the star for the first time. From that day, he started keeping everything clean and tidy. Soon cleanliness became his routine and he started liking to keep everything tidy.

After a month, Miss Mary announced a special gift to Sachin and asked everyone to take Sachin as inspiration. Sachin felt very happy and thanked Miss Mary for showing him the importance of cleanliness.

So, friends, Cleanliness is very important in our life. Make a habit of cleaning for only 5 minutes a day. You will be surprised to see how that 5 mins can make you a habit of maintaining cleanliness. Make sure

Kindly stand to attention for the National Anthem.
Thank you and have a wonderful day.
