Today’s scripture portion is taken from the epistle of
Hebrews Chapter 13 Verse 5
Keep your life free from the love of money, and be content with what you have, for Jesus has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Short Story:
A cup and  coffee
A group of highly established alumni got together to visit their old university professor. The conversation among them soon turned into complaints about their stressful work and life. The professor went to his kitchen and returned with a large pot of coffee and some cups which were plain-looking and expensive.
After all the students had a cup of coffee in their hands, the professor said: “Did you notice all the nice looking cups are taken, and only the plain inexpensive ones are left behind? It is natural for everyone to want the best for themselves which is the source of problems and stress in your life.

What all of you wanted was coffee, not the cup, but opted for good-looking expensive cups and then began eyeing each other. Sometimes, we fail to enjoy the coffee by concentrating only on the cup we have.

Thought for the Day:-
“Contentment is the greatest form of wealth.”
“True contentment is not having everything, but in being satisfied with everything you have.”

Let us pray:-
Almighty most Gracious, merciful heavenly father, we thank you for this beautiful day you have blessed us with. Lord prepare our minds to be content in life with whatever you have blessed us with. We trust and believe that you will never forsake us.

We especially pray for our Principal, Vice-principal the administrators, teachers, service staff and fellow students of this institution, bless each one of them and their loved ones. We also pray for the sick and weary let thy healing hands bless each one of them.
We ask this prayer in the holy name of Jesus Christ.
Amen.
Let us continue with The Lord’s prayer:
Our Father …… Amen.
Significance of the Day:-
16 September – World Ozone Day

The United Nations (UN) International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer is celebrated on September 16 every year. World ozone day is celebrated to remember the Montreal Protocol, which was signed to prevent the depletion of Ozone Layer of the Earth. On this day, people are made aware of the importance of the ozone layer and how to protect it. Protecting our environment from harmful things is the responsibility of every citizen for a peaceful and healthy living.

Importance of Cleanliness:-
The saying “Cleanliness is next to Godliness” was first used by
John Welesley in 1778. His sole intention was to convey to the masses that the habit of keeping clean is equivalent to Godliness.
Cleanliness is a habit of keeping our body and surroundings clean , but Godliness is keeping our heart clean. By importance ,Godliness comes first which means maintaining our body clean results from having a clean heart.
Take a small step towards greater good of society. Let it start from individual responsibility.

Kindly stand to attention for the School song

Thank you
Have a blessed day.
