The students of grade 1 participated in the Swachata Pakwada Cleanliness week activities on the following topics: Safe handling of drinking water, Water borne diseases, and washing of hands.
Activity 1: Safe Handling of drinking water and Water borne diseases.
The students created a poster with captions spreading awareness on the safe and effective ways of handling drinking water and keeping it from getting contaminated. They also made a poster with captions showing the causes and effects of water-borne diseases.
Activity 2: Hand Washing.
The students demonstrated the correct way of hand washing explaining the time and method of washing hands through a video.
Activity 3: Safe Handling of drinking water and Wastage of water.
The students filmed a skit on the topic of Safe handling and avoiding wastage of water where the students spoke about the importance of water for living, ways of safe handling water, and methods of dealing with wastage of water.
