The Anglo-Indian Community has contributed much to the progress and development of India and have been at the helm of many of the important sectors of the economy, in the past like Railways, Posts and Telegraphs, the Armed Forces, Nursing etc. to name a few.
But one area where they have contributed the most is Education and Teaching and the legacy carries on even today. The numerous Anglo-Indian educational institutions across the country stand testimony to this.
Music seems to flow naturally in the blood of our community and Sir Cliff Richard, Tony Brent and Engelbert Humperdinck are all world renowned musicians. The All India Anglo-Indian Association in association with Christ Church School celebrated World Anglo-Indian Day 2019 with an Inter-school Music competition, titled ‘MUSIC MANIA’.
