On 29th January 2022, Christ Church School celebrated the 207th Founders’ Day. Founders’ Day is traditionally a significant day in the school calendar when members of the school community meet to commemorate the role played by the Founding Fathers, the Bombay Education Society and Christ Church School.
Due to the spike in the number of Covid cases, this year’s celebration was toned down, yet it was one of the most meaningful celebrations that was held in recent times. Rev. John Silas led the Thanksgiving Service and Rev. Dyvasirvadam was the co-celebrant. The altar outside on the stage was simple but beautiful and the choir was excellent. The setting was solemn and yet very joyful.
At the end the Principal paid tribute to the Father of the Nation on the eve of Martyr’s Day and Abide with me was sung with great fervour and passion.
