The Story for today
Jai was waiting patiently outside the operation theater as his wife Sana was about to deliver
a baby. Every minute seemed like an hour as he knew this was going to be a life changing
moment for him.
His father sat beside him, praying frantically to God saying “Oh God. Please bless her with a
son. I will fulfill all my vows”. Jai wanted to say something but the door of the theater
opened and the doctor came out.
They both stood up as she came towards them and said that they were blessed with a baby
girl.
Jai sat down on the chair, his eyes were welled up with tears. His father sat beside him
trying to sooth him and said “Don’t worry. I m sure you will be blessed with a boy next time”
Jai sighed and turned towards his father and said “No Dad. These tears are not for having a
baby girl. These are tears of joy for getting my mother back as my daughter”
His father was shocked. Guilt over loomed his heart as he couldn’t stop from cursing for his
stupidity all along. He patted his son on the shoulder and said Sorry to him.
Jai smiled at his father and stood up to see his wife and his daughter. His father looked up to
the heavens and thanked God and followed his son.
Moral Every girl we kill is one less mother in the future.
The thought for today : Thought :A Little Girl With a Dreams becomes a woman With
Vision.
Let us pray:
Prayer: Dear Lord, I know that Your Word does not return void and I’m believing great
things for all daughters today: Let them walk in the security of Your assigned worth to them
. Give them a heart that desires to extend their hand to those in need. And let them be a
women of joy and laughter whose Christ-centered character is what makes them most
beautiful. May they grow in a strong relationship with You. In Jesus’ Name, we pray Amen.
Let us join our hands for the Lord’s prayer
