Scripture Union Assembly

Good morning school.

We would like to begin our Scripture union assembly with  the scripture portion  read by  Davis Raj Nadar , . the inspirational reading  by  Alex  Sirsunder , the reflection by  Keith Bhathena  and the prayer by   Sarah Mendonca.

THE SCRIPTURE READING

The scripture portion is taken from Deuteronomy   chapter 32 verses 10 to 12

The Lord found Jacob in a desert land ,  he kept him as the apple of his eye. As an eagle stirreth up her nest , fluttereth over her young , spreadth around her wings , taketh them , beareth them on her wings . So the Lord alone did led him .

Isaiah 43: 2- When you pass through the waters I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you This is the word of the Lord .

THE INSPIRATIONAL READING:             We have a Great, Big, Wonderful God.

Ninety feet above the floor of Norfork  Botanical Garden , workers  installed  a webcam focussing on the nest of a family of bald eagle and online viewers were allowed to watch .

When the eggs hatched, mamma and dada eagle were attentive to their offspring , taking turns, hunting for food and guarding the nest . But one day when the eaglets still looked  too  small  with tiny beaks , both parent  seemed to be disappeared.   Everyone  was worried that  some harm would  happen to them. But  to everyone’s astonishment , when the webcam operator enlarged the camera angle , there was the mamma eagle sitting on a nearby branch watching its eaglets with great concern .

The view of the forest heights of Virginia reminds us that our vision is limited. We see only a small part of the entire scene.  As eagles carry their young ones, God carries His children. Despite how it may seem, the Lord “is not far from each one of us “. This is true even when we feel abandoned and forsaken, under his wings we can safely abide. Though the night deepens and tempests are wild, still we can trust God.

The God who cares for us was with us throughout the last academic year.  When we faced difficult circumstances, fear  caused us to wonder if God is aware of our situation.  But God’s presence gave us the assurance that he cares deeply and is in control.  His tracking of our lives will never fail.

Have faith in God to lead you every day ,one step at a time in the new academic year.

Reflection on the scripture portion:

When the Israelites were standing in front of the Red sea , they did not know where to keep their foot for the  next step. They couldn’t go back because their enemies, the Egyptian army was chasing them. Their hearts melted and they were thinking they are going to die in their enemies’ hands . But God parted the Red sea and His children kept the next step on dry land. They crossed the Red sea and reached the other side safely. We may face difficult situations, challenges and may happen to pass through the waters, but God is going to be with us to part the  Red sea and we will be able to pass through the waters. Trust Him. He is true to all His promises.
