Counselling and Special Education Department

In today’s world, students face many complex challenges, such as emotional and behavioural difficulties, peer and parental pressure, academic difficulties and choosing a fulfilling career option. Our proactive counselling department comprises of highly-trained counsellors and a special educator, who work with students to help them realise their potential. The ultimate goal of the Counselling Department is to ensure that the students have the required tools to cope with the challenges thrown at them and ensure that the holistic development of each child is met.

We have a multifaceted approach and work closely with parents, teachers and other stake holders involved in the overall growth of each child. The counsellors develop the curriculum and teach Life Skills for classes 1 to 10 to enable children to become healthy, independent and responsible members of society. Additionally, workshops are conducted for students, parents and teachers according to the need of the hour.

The Special Educator works in partnership with the administrators, counsellors, teachers, parents and students to promote an inclusive educational practice. The special educator helps sensitize the school community about the needs of the students, their strengths and challenges, and suggests different strategies for students’ learning needs and styles. This is also done in collaboration with external agencies when required to ensure that every child is given equal opportunities to learn.
