The Indian Certificate of Secondary Education has been designed to provide an examination in a course of general education, in accordance with the recommendations of the New Education Policy 1986, through the medium of English.
The Indian Certificate of Secondary Education Examination will ensure a general education without any diversification of studies as all candidates are required to enter and sit for six subjects and Socially Useful Productive Work.
The Indian Certificate of Secondary Education Examination is a school examination and the standard of the examination pre-supposes a school course of ten years duration (Classes I-X).
Subjects of Examination and Condition for the Award of Certificates :
A. Part I: Compulsory - Internal Examination or Internal Assessment.
Candidates for the examination will be required to have completed satisfactorily, courses in:-
(a) A Third Language from at least Class I to Class VIII: (Internal Examination).
(b) Art (Internal Examination).
(c) Work Experience and Socially Useful Productive Work (Internal Assessment).
(d) Physical Education.
(e) Education in Moral and Spiritual Values.
B. Part II: External Examination (at the end of Class X).

The I.S.C (XII) is a two year syllabus covered in classes XI and XII. All candidates must enter and sit for English (compulsory), with three, four or five elective subjects and are been evaluated internally by the School and secured a pass grade in Socially Useful Productive Work and Community Service (compulsory).

The Cambridge Secondary 1 Checkpoint offered by University of Cambridge International Examinations, develops learners’ skills and understanding in Mathematics, English and Science for secondary education, and provides excellent preparation for IGCSE ( International Global Certificate of Secondary Education).
